Job Summary
The Payroll Analyst supports payroll operations through timekeeping administration, payroll file preparation, data validation, and general payroll processing support for U.S. and Canadian locations. Responsibilities may also include backup coverage, reconciliations, issue resolution, and other payroll activities based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer timekeeping activities, including edits, adjustments, exception review, approvals, and time data validation.
  • Partner with HR, managers, and supervisors to resolve timekeeping or payroll-related issues before processing deadlines.
  • Prepare, validate, and load payroll files for bonuses, incentives, profit sharing, deferred compensation, adjustments, and other approved pay items.
  • Support payroll cycles by completing assigned inputs, audits, validations, corrections, checklist items, and processing tasks.
  • Monitor Payroll HELP case inquiries, research employee pay issues, and route or resolve items as appropriate.
  • Load garnishment documents into ADP SmartCompliance and follow up on required employer action.
  • Provide backup support for recurring payroll tasks, off-cycle payments, retroactive adjustments, and other payroll activities as assigned.
  • Follow payroll controls and maintain SOP documentation for assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, analytical skills, and ability to meet recurring payroll deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping administration, pay calculations, and wage and hour requirements.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formatting, validating, comparing, and auditing payroll data files.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with HR, managers, employees, and payroll partners.
  • Experience with ADP e-Time, Kronos, ADP, Workday, SAP HCM, PeopleSoft, Oracle, or similar systems preferred.
  • 3+ years of payroll, timekeeping, or payroll administration experience preferred; bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
