  • ~August 1 through Labor Day in Hamptons

Accommodation includes a private bedroom and shared bathroom (with the family’s other nanny) in CT and a private bedroom with a private bathroom in the Hamptons.

During summer camp hours, there is significant downtime that could involve family assistant tasks during that time.

Household Environment

This is a relaxed, informal household where kindness, teamwork, and mutual respect are priorities.

Both parents have demanding careers and appreciate professionals who take initiative while communicating openly. Grandparents are actively involved but are supportive and respectful of the nanny's role, allowing caregivers to lead while providing help when appropriate.

The home is designed for active children, with dedicated play and sports spaces, and the family embraces a fun, energetic atmosphere.

  • School pick-up and drop-off
  • Driving children to sports and activities
  • Swimming supervision (must be a confident swimmer)
  • Homework support
  • Planning engaging activities
  • Supporting routines and transitions
  • Encouraging independence and positive behavior
  • Helping children regulate emotions with patience and consistency
  • Children's organization and planning
  • Occasional children's meal preparation when needed
  • Assist with household activities and errands

One of the children is exceptionally bright and benefits from structure, routine, and calm, proactive guidance. The ideal nanny should be fluent in child development and emotional regulation, remain calm under pressure, anticipate transitions, and help him successfully regulate his emotions through consistency, communication, and positive reinforcement (e.g., he loves sticker charts).

The family is seeking someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with children through sports, outdoor play, imaginative activities, games, homework support, and meaningful interaction.

The family employs a housekeeper who manages the majority of the children's laundry, and their long-time nanny oversees the children's meal preparation. If the long-time nanny is away or unwell, the successful candidate should be comfortable preparing simple, nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
