Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Summary:

Prepares all types of surfaces for painting/coating/covering, and applies various types of protective/decorative coatings or coverings. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.

Meets one of the following:
  1. Possess a Painter's License through the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (OCILB).
  2. Documented completion of a Journeyman's Painting Apprenticeship.
  3. Documented 8 years of commercial or industrial painting experience.

  • 4 years of documented commercial or industrial painting experience.
  • Experience installing wall coverings and ceramic tile. Possess a current, valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to read and utilize blue prints.
  • Solid problem solving skills, and able to use sound judgment.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Basic personal computer skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work independently/with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.
  • Willing and able to adjust from the standard work schedule as needed for operational coverage, including days that are not normally worked, and at locations not normally assigned.

Preferred:
  • 10 years of documented commercial painting experience
  • 5 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Prior Healthcare industry experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
  • May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Ability to climb intermittently during the day.
  • Ability to push/pull 70-150 pounds.
  • Ability to lift 10-40 pounds.
  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
  • Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
