SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for all functions of inventory handling and will process customer orders received either in person, via telephone, fax or internet. This position will assist the Branch Manager / Branch Operations Manager, and other branch associates as needed. Responsibilities will also include maintenance of inventory, receipt, shipment of goods, telephone encounters and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accurately prepare orders by pulling material from stock.
  • Participates in the shipping of company goods to various customers.
  • Verifies accuracy of shipments.
  • Processes paperwork and signatures of shipments.
  • Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Pulls orders via pick ticket and handles pick ticket process.
  • Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and preparing for transport.
  • Participates in physical inventory for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying gains/losses.
  • Cleans warehouse for the purpose of safe and sanitary workplace.
  • Perform stock and price checks for customers and other branches.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least two years of inventory handling and experience.
  • Ability to perform and understand basic math and written procedures.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and schedules with little supervision.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Flooring or tile industry experience is a plus.
  • High School Diploma/GED required
