Job description

Registered Nurse - PCU 12 Hour Days

City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota

Shift: 12 Hour Days, 4x12 Days, 07:00-19:00

Contract Length: 12.71 weeks

Start Date: 07/20/2026

Client Details Address: 353 Fairmont Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57701

Trauma Level: Level 2

Unit Description: MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU – mixed unit

Beds: 39

Minimal Experience: 2 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel experience is most preferred

If they have 1.5 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel, please have CRT send to management team for approval

Will you accept a first-time traveler? No. Minimum one prior travel assignment

Traveler must reside >100 miles outside of facility

Permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Patient Types: Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma

Diagnoses include: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma – heavy trauma population

Cardiac experience is preferred (not required): CABG/TAVR – 24 to 48 hrs post op experience is preferred but not required for travelers

Will not take fresh open hearts unless they are experienced, and the facility felt comfortable with this – given to permanent staff

Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1, 2:1, 3:1
