Job description

We are seeking a mid-level Manager to oversee ticketing strategy, sales data analysis, and industry research for clients including Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and cultural institutions across New York City. A successful candidate for this position will be able to make data-driven recommendations using sales and marketing data, effectively communicate those recommendations to internal teams and external clients, implement ticket programming and optimizations, and accurately measure results overtime.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ticketing & Pricing Strategy

  • Lead and support sales analysis for clients, making data-driven, strategic recommendations on pricing models, ticket programming and distribution against revenue goals and projections.
  • Create, submit, and revise programming to support all aspects of ticketing (dynamic and variable pricing adjustments, performance scheduling, special promotions, distribution management, group sales, etc.).
  • Liaise with industry ticketing and box-office partners to implement strategies across multiple ticketing systems and sales channels.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Effectively use sales data to anticipate trends and tell a story through clear, effective reporting and/or presentations -- translating complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to make integrated recommendations across traditional media, digital media, marketing partnerships, social media, and more based on sales trends.
  • Leverage proprietary first-party behavioral data to inform new business strategies, growth opportunities, and audience segmentation for clients.
  • Create and distribute daily and weekly reporting as needed.

Industry Research & Expertise

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the Broadway and live entertainment industries, seasonal variables, and the competitive landscape to be a resource for both clients and agency teams.
  • Assist in maintaining agency-wide and industry-wide databases as needed.
  • Create and manage post-trip surveys, other quantitative surveys, or qualitative research studies as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant, data-driven role.
  • Experience with ticketing within the live entertainment industry required. Specific experience with ticketing systems regularly used on and off-Broadway (STAR/Telecharge, Nliven/Broadway Direct, Tessitura, Ticketmaster, Audience View) a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required (Macros & VBA, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, charting, etc.). Experience with other data analysis or business intelligence tools (SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) a plus.
  • Strong mathematical skills, analytical skills, and financial acumen required.
  • Ability to be available evenings and/or weekends as needed required.
  • Proficiency with marketing or advertising, including media planning and digital media metrics, a plus.
  • Proficiency with qualitative and/or quantitative research a plus.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly and effectively across disciplines and departments required.
  • This is a client-facing role: excellent communication skills (written, in-person, and presenting to large groups) are required.
