JOB SUMMARY:

The Jazz Youth Ticketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Utah Jazz Youth Programs during the Jazz basketball season. This part-time seasonal position is primarily responsible for managing ticket inventory, coordinating ticket distribution, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service to program participants and partners.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing large quantities of data while maintaining excellent communication and customer service. In addition to ticketing responsibilities, this individual will support Youth Programs events and initiatives, including Junior Jazz parties, camps and clinics, tournaments, and other department activities.


This position is expected to work approximately 20-30 hours per week from September through April, with occasional opportunities to assist at offseason events such as 3v3 tournaments and other large-scale youth programming.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Ticket Operations

  • Manage Utah Jazz ticket inventory allocated to Youth Programs.
  • Coordinate ticket distribution for Junior Jazz participants, recreation partners, and other youth department programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of ticket inventory, redemptions, and usage.
  • Monitor ticket requests and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Assist with game-night ticket operations and participant support.
  • Communicate with partners and families regarding ticket offers, redemption instructions, and event details.
  • Troubleshoot ticketing issues and work with internal departments to resolve concerns.
  • Set up and utilize ticketing platforms and spreadsheets to track inventory and reporting.


Program Administration

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to Junior Jazz and other Youth Programs.
  • Support data entry, record keeping, and program reporting.
  • Respond to participant and partner inquiries via email and phone.
  • Assist with maintaining program databases and participant information.


Event Support

  • Assist with planning and execution of Junior Jazz parties and other special events.
  • Support Youth Programs activations at Utah Jazz home games.
  • Assist with camps, clinics, tournaments, and community events as needed.
  • Help with event setup, breakdown, registration, and participant engagement.
  • Support large-scale events including 3v3 tournaments and other Youth Programs initiatives.


Customer Service & Partner Relations

  • Provide exceptional customer service to participants, families, coaches, and recreation partners.
  • Serve as a positive representative of the Utah Jazz and Smith Entertainment Group.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with program participants and community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in customer service, event operations, ticketing, administration, recreation, sports, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays based on event and game schedules.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Utah driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with ticketing systems such as SeatGeek, Ticketmaster, Archtics, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with inventory management, reporting, or database administration.
  • Experience working in youth sports, recreation, event operations, or customer service environments.
  • Passion for youth sports and community engagement.
