The Ticket Sales Associate is responsible for generating revenue by selling and renewing Marquette University athletic ticket products, including season tickets, partial plans, and group packages. This role focuses on developing new business through proactive outreach efforts while maintaining strong relationships with current ticket holders to drive retention and repeat sales. The position delivers exceptional customer service, manages high call volumes, and ensures accurate customer account management. Additionally, the role supports game day operations and contributes to overall ticket sales goals and fan engagement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maximize revenue through the sale of new and renewal ticket products, including season tickets, partial plans, and group tickets, by proactively renewing current full and partial season ticket holders through phone and email communication. Establish professional relationships for repeat business and superior customer service. Use cold calling, appointments, and social selling as tools to sell season, group, and partial ticket plan packages. Creatively prospects for new business opportunities that will grow Marquette's season ticket and group client base. Maintain and complete accurate records for customers.
2. Staff Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, and Women's volleyball home games to facilitate group experiences and/or promote upcoming games/ticket packages. Participate in outside networking events to gain additional business and develop relationships with new leads.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• High school diploma
• At least one year of relevant working experience.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to problem solve.
• Work efficiently in a team-oriented setting and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under deadlines and prioritize their workload.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor's Degree
• Familiarity with software programs such as Ticketmaster/Archtics and Salesforce.com.
• Familiarity with NCAA, BIG EAST conference rules, and University policies.
