Job description

Job Description: Junior Turnaround/Construction Scheduler

  • Some Field knowledge and equipment knowledge preferred
  • Communication is KEY, must be comfortable working with multiple departments for project coordination
  • The Scheduler will manage progressing, produce tic books/look-aheads, and reporting out of Primavera/Analytics
  • This position would also ensure that all Turnaround / Construction team members adhere to Clients Scheduling Standards
  • needs to be comfortable, building new tools in system, implementing more reports from data in systems
  • Assure that all coding is correct in the Primavera schedules based on Clients TAR & Construction Practices
  • Maintain updates to schedule to match work list as job cards are submitted from Area Le ads
  • Attend overall Logic reviews with Area Leads and individual units to finalize logic
  • Manage the effort of manpower levelling the entire file and producing histograms to develop hiring plans for Construction, Pre TAR, T/A and Post TAR
  • Interfacing with Project Controls to pass on man -hours for check estimates / control estimates
  • Experience supporting/managing construction projects and turnarounds working alongside Engineering Firms and understanding engineering language/terms (this role will be supporting all events on site, project and/or turnarounds as they may happen simultaneously throughout project life cycle)
  • Willing to collaborate with team to create all new processes to be used moving forward setting up the site for success Comfortable utilizing excel to analyze data, create reports, generate formula's to help process data into reports

Qualifications

  • Entry - Junior/Mid-Level position
  • 3 to 5+ years of Project Control/Scheduling experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge (2+ yrs) of Prometheus (P6) and SAP preferred
  • MUST be willing and comfortable, being flexible/moldable and willing to wear multiple hats in this role to be able to support not just Construction, but Turnarounds/Projects as needed should anyone need coverage or support during certain events. The site is small, so it is common for roles to cross-train and wear multiple hats
  • IDEAL to have exposure to the oil and gas industry
  • Basic refinery knowledge to be familiar with the information that's analyzed by the construction team
  • Training will be provided to help develop the candidate in this position
