The City of Reno is currently accepting applications for various Health & Wellness part-time positions. We have many positions available that cater to different interests and skills. Salaries and hours vary by position and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Read through the job descriptions and supplemental information below for the details regarding each position.
Available Positions:
  • Front Desk Staff ($15-$16.50/hour)
  • Day Porter ($15-$16.50/hour)
  • Fitness Instructors ($32.50-$40/hour)

Examples of Essential Functions
Front Desk Staff:
  • Greets customers and provides customer service.
  • Observes patron behavior and enforces policies, rules, regulations.
  • Collect user fees, payments, registrations, and reservations for recreational facilities and programs, reserves facilities and processes credits, transfers and refunds.
  • Secures doors, windows and surrounding areas when departing facility.

Day Porter:
  • Perform general cleaning duties at a facility.
  • Perform light maintenance as required.
  • Assist in the set up and breakdown of programs and events.

Fitness Instructors:
  • Leads participants in activities and/or may monitor activities led by other staff.
  • Set-up and breakdown fitness class equipment.
  • Provides first aid supplies to the injured and calls EMS if needed.
