Job description

Job Summary
The Sugaring Hut is seeking a licensed Esthetician, or Master Esthetician, ย to join our team as a Sugarista. This is a hands-on role specializing in body sugaring services, with opportunities to grow into skin treatments if youโ€™re passionate about it.
At The Sugaring Hut, we donโ€™t just remove hairโ€”we help people feel confident, empowered, and celebrated in their own skin. As a Sugarista, youโ€™ll provide expert services, educate clients on aftercare, and create an uplifting, body-positive experience for every guest.
This position is ideal for someone who values kindness, teamwork, and growth. Youโ€™ll start with a minimal schedule (evening availability required) and have the chance to expand your skills and hours as your career develops.
Responsibilities
  • Perform expert body sugaring servicesโ€”from brows to Braziliansโ€”with care, precision, and professionalism.
  • Create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where every client feels seen and celebrated.
  • Educate clients on post-sugaring aftercare and skin maintenance.
  • Recommend skincare and retail products with confidence and authenticity.
  • Guide clients in booking both sugaring and skin services based on their needs.
  • Learn and understand all of The Sugaring Hutโ€™s skincare lines and facial offerings.
  • Maintain excellent sanitation standards and a clean, organized treatment room.
  • Stay current on sugaring techniques and industry best practices.
Youโ€™re Perfect for This Role If You:
  • Are passionate about helping people feel their best inside and out.
  • Thrive in a high-energy, body-positive, inclusive environment.
  • Take pride in your craft and love continuous learning.
  • Want to grow within a supportive, tight-knit team.
  • Have strong people skills and enjoy guiding clients toward the right services and products.
  • Work collaboratively, jump in where needed, and show up with purpose every day.
Qualifications
  • Washington State Esthetician or Master Esthetician license (Cosmetology license considered).
  • Sugaring certification (or willingness to complete in-house training).
  • Proven experience as an esthetician preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and growth mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in skincare and retail is a major plus.
  • Evening availability is required.
  • High level of ethics and professionalism.
Our Core Values
  • Kindness First โ€“ Respect, warmth, and compassion guide every interaction.
  • Team Over Ego โ€“ We believe in collaboration, not competition.
  • Gratitude & Growth โ€“ Always learning, always thankful.
  • Celebrate Every Body โ€“ Body-positive and inclusiveโ€”everyone is welcome here.
  • Purpose-Driven โ€“ We show up with passion and intention every day.
Benefits & Perks
  • Commission-based pay
  • Career growth opportunities
  • Fun and energetic team environment
  • Discounts on products and services
Growth Opportunities at The Sugaring Hut
This is a starting Sugarista role with minimal hours to begin, with flexibility needed to step in as the schedule growsโ€”especially evenings.
As your career develops, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to:
  • Expand into skin treatments and advanced skin treatments.
  • Continue education and refine your skills.
  • Mentor new hires or grow into leadership roles.
We believe in helping every team member unlock their full potentialโ€”whether thatโ€™s becoming a top Sugarista, adding skincare services, or stepping into leadership.
