Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead sales forecasting, scheduling, achieving performance metrics, providing outstanding customer service, and ordering (product and supplies).
  • Lead the Thrift Town stores employee and supervisory team; ensure engagement and retention of employees, appropriate training and talent assessment, and quick resolution to employee relations matters.
  • Lead by example in service and interaction with our customers; showing excellent customer service and acknowledging patronage, assisting in the location of items, and handling of customer complaints diplomatically and sincerely.
  • Develop staff (recruiting, hiring, coaching, teaching, training, and cross training) and enforce all store policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proper store conditions including but not limited to signage, merchandising, cleaning, store maintenance, and complying with all regulatory agency directives.
  • Oversee and ensure excellent inventory management and proper rotation.
  • Oversee the P & L for the store and ensure accountability to revenue targets; focus on growing profitability for your store.
  • Quickly address areas of opportunity within the store and with your direct reports, utilizing appropriate corporate partners along the way.
  • Ensuring all deadlines are met (cash deposits, reports, projects, etc.) by specified timelines.
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met (ordering, receiving, data entry, timely responses to email, etc.).
  • All related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Two years of retail leadership experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager: Self-driven and motivated with the ability to collaborate well with others.
  • Must be available some evenings, weekends, & holidays
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of in-store management.
  • Experience in retail loss prevention.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
  • High School Diploma combined with prior experience in retail store.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience in the thrift store industry or non-profit sector is a plus.
