Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Assisted Living

Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our Assisted Living team. Compass Park is a beautiful 320-acre community located in the heart of Johnson County, adjacent to Indianapolis. Our campus offers a vibrant environment year-round, featuring mature trees, scenic walking paths, and a welcoming atmosphere for both residents and employees.

The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality resident care while supporting clinical operations and maintaining regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise resident care provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Qualified Medication Aides (QMAs).
  • Prepare and administer medications including oral, nasal, ear, eye, topical, inhaler, and nebulizer treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
  • Administer PRN medications and monitor resident response for effectiveness and potential side effects.
  • Accurately count and document scheduled medications (Schedule II and III) during shift change with incoming and outgoing staff to ensure accountability.
  • Measure and document vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose (accu-checks).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate resident status changes promptly.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current and active LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR and BLS Healthcare Provider certifications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professional standards of care.
