Vice President of New Business โ€“ Fabrication Location: Monterey Park, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $170,000 โ€“ $185,000 per year + Commission About 3RD AVE 3RD AVE is a full-service experiential company specializing in theme parks, museums, branded environments, touring exhibits, live events, retail activations, and large-scale experiential marketing. From engineering and technical design to fabrication, scenic finishes, logistics, installation, and integration, we build some of the industry's most ambitious projects entirely in-house. Position Overview We're looking for a proven business development leader who already has deep industry relationships and can immediately generate opportunities within the experiential fabrication market. The Vice President of New Business โ€“ Fabrication is responsible for generating new fabrication opportunities, developing client relationships, preparing competitive bids, and closing profitable projects. This is not a Project Management or Operations role. Your success will be measured by the quality of opportunities you create, the accuracy of your estimates, the profitability of your bids, and the longโ€term relationships you build. You must understand fabrication, construction, estimating, labor planning, materials, logistics, and installation well enough to accurately scope projects and confidently represent 3RD AVE throughout the sales process. Responsibilities Generate new fabrication opportunities through existing industry relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with agencies, brands, production companies, museums, theme parks, exhibit houses, event producers, and trade show organizations. Lead the estimating and proposal process from concept through submission. Build accurate budgets including labor, materials, subcontractors, logistics, engineering, installation, and contingencies. Collaborate with internal Engineering, Technical Design, Fabrication, and Project Management teams during estimating. Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining design intent. Present estimates, proposals, budgets, and project strategies to clients. Negotiate contracts and pricing. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting. Ensure projects transition smoothly to the execution team after award. Represent 3RD AVE at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings. Required Qualifications 7+ years of business development, estimating, or sales leadership within: Theme Park Construction Experiential Marketing Museum Fabrication Trade Show Fabrication Live Events Scenic Construction Custom Fabrication Proven history of generating $4M+ annually in new business. Existing network of buyers and decisionโ€makers that can produce opportunities immediately. Extensive experience creating detailed fabrication estimates and project bids. Strong understanding of: Wood, metal, scenic, and specialty fabrication Labor forecasting Material pricing Installation planning Logistics Vendor management Construction sequencing Comfortable reading construction drawings and technical documentation. Strong negotiation and presentation skills. Selfโ€driven with the ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling projects ranging from $100,000 to multiโ€millionโ€dollar fabrication programs. Existing relationships with major brands, experiential agencies, production companies, museums, entertainment companies, and theme park organizations. Experience with value engineering and design assist estimating. Familiarity with SketchUp, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software.
