Position Description & Qualifications Are you looking for an Theater Security Cooperation Analyst opportunity where you can make a difference every day? The U.S. Air Force has recognized our team as providing top-quality services. You will be part of the 9th Air Force (9AF) United States Air Force Central Command (AFCENT), which is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports the 9th AF Theater Security Cooperation (A5). In your role as Theater Security Cooperation Analyst, you will provide detailed air advisor force support to include "Request for Forces" development, Concept of Operations development and other task support orders to the 9 AF AFCENT/A5. This position will also maintain a database of all Joint Sourced, USAF Sourced, or Individual Augmentee Air Advisors deployed within the AOR, define and integrate Partner Nation airpower capacity development programs into normal theater security cooperation planning and strategy development, and assist in the coordination of Irregular Warfare Force Development and Air Advisor Training. In this role you will: * Serve as primary rated SME to the 9 AF AFCENT government FAM to provide deliberate planning support, crisis action planning support, expertise, and oversight to 9 AF AFCENT deployed rated and host nation coordination cell staffs. * Assist with development and maintenance of the Air Component's Minimum Essential Task List (METL) for Air Advisors. * Review organization mission, functions, & manning issues, to identify requirements & initiate requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, & space to ensure success in meeting goals & objectives. * Establish minimum qualifications and certifications used by the AFPC to select the individuals for deployment as air advisors. This includes aircrew qualifications, operational experience and other certifications. * Analyze COCOM and other DoD directives to draft Air Component policy, guidance, & directives for pre-deployment ground & aircrew training requirements for assigned conventional force air advisors. * Assist development of support strategies to integrate security transition command policy and achieve the COCOM's vision. * Provide Security Assistance liaison support for International Military Education and Training Program development and existing and future FMS programs. To be successful in this role, you will have: * Active DoD Secret Security Clearance * A Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience in a Component-Numbered AF or HHQ staff position. * A High School Diploma plus 5 years of experience on a NAF or component command staff or higher level or other service
equivalent. * 3 years' experience performing deliberate and crisis action planning, personnel management, knowledge in building/modifying RFF, knowledge of Force Tracking Numbers system, and Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES) functions. * Previous rated officer, Air Advisor and Instructional System Design (ISD) experience desired. Strong background in staff officer functions to include task management, briefing and writing skills. * The ability to travel up to 50% (CONUS and OCONUS) Additional desired experience and skills: * Active DoD Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
