ABOUT US?

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is the hit theatrical stage production of the internationally acclaimed 2001 Baz Luhrman film, developed and produced by Global Creatures, an Australia-based company specializing in producing new theatrical works combining innovative stagecraft and spectacular theatricality. It opened to wide acclaim and sell-out business on Broadway in the summer of 2019 and has been nominated for 14 Tony Awards


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Props Sub will assist the Props Team in running the Stage Left and/or Stage Right Prop tracks for Moulin Rouge! Broadway. A successful candidate for this position will have experience running shows in a props and general availability on nights/weekends for show coverage as needed.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Running the Stage Left or Stage Right props track during performances as needed.

Working with the Props team to maintain and repair all show props to the highest standards.

Participation in work calls, and rehearsals as needed.

Arrival on time and ready for work at the start of each call.

Clear communication with the prop department and Production Managers about availability and coverage dates.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

Detail-oriented, willing to complete both complex and menial repetitive tasks with a positive attitude.

General experience in furniture construction/repair, sewing, and theatrical rigging is preferred.

Minimum 1 years' experience running shows in props.


SALARY & BENEFITS

Training Rate: $2,000/week (Pro-rated by 1/8th Per Show)

Coverage Rate: $2,450/week (Pro-rated by 1/8th Per Show)
