Job description

Only current Lipscomb Theatre students can apply for this position. Students will be responsible for assisting the technical director, scenic designer, and production manager in the execution and maintenance of Properties (hand props, set props, set dec, and rehearsal props) for theatre department productions. May be federal work study eligible.

This position requires:

  • Must have already taken at least 2 theatre practicums
  • The ability to lift 40 pounds & climb ladders
  • Able to understand theatrical construction principles
  • The ability to safely use power tools
  • Able to understand scenic painting and the use of painting equipment
  • The ability to organize and maintain the inventory of props
  • The ability to provide props for rehearsals
  • The ability to supervise sets practicum student crews during load-in and strike.
