Description Summary
The Theatre Technician provides technical support for Iowa Central Community College productions, events, and performances. Responsibilities include assisting with lighting, sound, scenery, props, stage operations, and general production support. This position works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and guest artists to ensure safe and successful performances.

% OF TIME ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Constant (67-100%)
  • Assist with setup, operation, and strike of theatrical productions and special events.
  • Support lighting, sound, scenery, props, and backstage operations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
2. Frequent (34-66%)
  • Assist with technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.
  • Operate technical equipment as assigned.
  • Communicate regularly with faculty, staff, and student crews regarding production needs.
3. Occasional (10-33%)
  • Assist with inventory, maintenance, and storage of equipment and materials.
  • Support facility rentals and special campus events as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
