Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Kelsey's Loft Servers are Pechanga's ambassadors of guest service. They customize service for each guest to create a memorable experience. Servers' contribution to the organization is the moment-to-moment service with guests which provides amiable and personable contact for every table, creating a face to represent four diamond service at Pechanga Resort and Casino. They cultivate professional relations with clientele approaching each table as a business transaction, selling product and services available in the Kelsey's Loft. The Servers will have all the proper knowledge of departmental SOP's, policies and expectations. Kelsey's Loft Servers will contribute to the success of the operation.
FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TRAINER
• Display our Four Diamond commitment to guest service at all times.
• Ensure a full understanding of the Pechanga Kelsey's Loft standards, policies, and procedures. This includes the menu, service techniques, and proper etiquette.
• Ensure to understand various allergies, dietary restrictions, and can confidently answer guest questions about the menu.
• Set an example by showcasing exceptional service skills, such as greeting guests, taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages, handling challenging situations, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Understand Kelsey's Loft's service standards, including steps of service, order taking, upselling techniques, suggestive selling, and proper table maintenance.
• Utilize the Kelsey's Loft training manual to explain the outlet's culture, values, and service expectations. This also covers topics of safety procedures, health regulations, and point-of-sale systems.
• Display a full understanding of the point-of-sale (POS) system, including all forms of payment received, such as player's comps, tribal cards, gift cards, and all other forms of payment.
• Stay informed about any changes in the menu, promotions, and/or procedures.
• Take guest' orders accurately and in a timely manner consistent with the steps of service outline in the training material.
• Keep an accurate running check of guests' orders and present a final bill prior to the ending of the show, process all payments according to PRC Cash Handling Procedures.
• Clearing all soiled china, glass or silverware throughout guests' experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY: The Kelsey's Loft Server does not have any supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.
QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Three to six months related experience and/or training is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required to successfully perform this job.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. This position also requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Furthermore, this position requires the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other Team Members of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. This position also requires the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class "A" gaming license.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certification.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Responsible Beverage Service Certification.
