OUR MISSION
The mission of the Eastern Star Church ministry is evangelism and discipleship. We are committed to the great commission instituted by Jesus Christ that is to nurture and save souls. From adding ministries to staffing, from building facilities to adding programs, from stewardship to membership, it has all been for the purpose of being obedient to the commission of Christ.
YOUR ROLE IN OUR MISSION
Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Communications team with all ESC-related projects. This includes developing a detailed plan of tasks required to complete assigned projects. You will work with the project team to develop the plan, assign tasks and deadlines, identify success criteria, and communicate progress. The Project Manager also communicates timelines, manages the master calendar, processes Project Intake Forms (PIF), and monitors projects based on priority and available resources by utilizing the project management software system, Breeze.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Capture project objectives and goals from internal and external clients and clearly document and communicate them with team members within the Communications Department
  • Ensure all needed resources are available to meet project requirements.
  • Oversee project-level scope, schedule, and timely delivery.
  • Ensure projects adhere to Church processes and policies equivalent to the sphere of work.
  • Provide guidance in the creation of project plans and deliverables.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners on progress and receive their feedback.
  • At the completion of a project, capture and provide lessons learned to be applied to subsequent projects.
  • Lead teams to develop, evaluate, and revise projects and processes.
  • Contribute to content creation for internal communications projects such as video announcements, promo videos, newsletters, etc.
  • Collaborate with various members of the COM Department to provide clear objectives, content creation, storytelling, music selection, and editing for special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Communications Director

QUALIFICATIONS AND IDEAL CHARACTERISTICS
  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams and communicate internally and externally with people from various demographics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to "translate "complex concepts into language and context that are relevant to the business.
  • Proficient in project management software and workflow diagramming
  • Established track record and validated initiative in developing and implementing business strategies, systems, and business improvements.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to lead work to tight deadlines and handle the pressure of executive requests and campaign launches.
  • Provides consulting expertise through effective communication with customers, stakeholders, management, staff, and peers to ensure expectations.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to successfully coordinate multiple tasks
