Job Type: Seasonal, Hourly, Full Time & Part Time

Job Summary:

The Pier is hiring for the 2026 Summer Season.

First impressions count! As first point of contact here at the iconic Pier Restaurant, our hosts set the stage for a great guest experience. If you are a kind, energetic person who works well in a team setting, this job is for you!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate genuine hospitality for an exceptional dining experience by making every guest feel welcome

  • Engage guests in conversation as you seat them

  • Provide menus, water service and introduce the server to their guests

  • Manage wait lists during volume to set guest expectations

  • Speak courteously when answering the telephone

  • Communicate effectively with servers, bar, kitchen and management on level of business

  • Ensure all guests are sincerely thanked as they leave

  • Bus and prep tables for service, clearing dishes and glassware and resetting as needed

  • Answer phone calls and make reservations

  • Maintain clean and organized entryway, dining room and public areas

  • Communicate effectively with servers, bar, kitchen and management on level of business

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

  • Must be able to stand for at least 5 hours at a time

  • Basic computer skills required

  • Excellent customer service and phone skills
