Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Redmond, WA that is seeking a CryoMechanical Engineer (LAB) to support assembly, rework, and integration of hardware. This is a lab-based execution role focused on repeatability, documentation, and close collaboration with internal packaging and systems engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform hands-on assembly and rework of device packages
* Execute defined packaging workflows and document outcomes and deviations
* Support early bring-up of new packaging processes under engineering guidance
* Operate lab tools and equipment in accordance with ESD and safety requirements
* Maintain clean, organized lab workspaces
* Track work performed, materials used, and results
* Identify defects or yield issues and escalate with supporting data
* Capture images, notes, and observations to support debug efforts
* Work closely with internal engineers while owning day-to-day execution
REQUIREMENTS:
3-4 years of cryomechanical experience:
* Exposure to advanced packaging (e.g., flip-chip, fine-pitch interconnects)
* Experience with cryogenic or quantum-adjacent hardware
* 4+ years of hands-on lab experience- direct experience working in a hardware or research lab environment
* Comfort with precision assembly, rework, or similar physical lab work
* Ability to follow and improve written procedures
* Familiarity with semiconductor packaging, electronics assembly, or related hardware
* Experience supporting early-stage or low-volume development efforts
* Strong attention to detail and quality
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
