12-hour Day, Night and rotation shifts available

Job Description:
We are seeking a safety-oriented Packaging Operator to join our team in Oxford, NC. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to achieve production goals while prioritizing safety in all aspects of their work. The Packaging Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and cleaning up the packaging area and equipment while following production instructions and performing basic arithmetic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize safety in all tasks performed.
  • Maintain an excellent level of housekeeping in the production areas.
  • Set up and operate assigned equipment in accordance with production instructions.
  • Record and report any nonconformities accurately and with urgency.
  • Properly label and package roll goods as per work instructions.
  • Communicate potential problems and inherent dangers to appropriate supervisors, managers, or team leaders.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least two years of manufacturing/warehouse experience.
  • Ability to lift 80 lb. routinely and push, pull, and roll 80 lb. materials.
  • Ability to climb a 6 ft. ladder and operate a forklift.
  • Ability to operate machinery and small power tools.
  • Ability to operate Windows-based PC with proprietary software.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and read, write, and comprehend instructions communicated in English.
  • Ability to work with other operators, packagers, lab personnel, and supervisors in a professional, team-based environment.
  • Must have safety shoes.
  • Other duties as assigned are based on maintaining production, safety, housekeeping, quality, material management, shipping/receiving, and logistics.
