We are looking for CNA day positions at our Chester/ East Liverpool locations.



For over the last seventy years, The Orchards have continued the traditional values inspired by the Fox Family: respect for one another, concern for each resident's well-being, and encouragement of individual interests and enjoyment of life's pleasures. These values are a gift The Orchards staff members share every day with residents and each other.


We are currently seeking a part-time Care Aide to work our day shift at our Chester, WV campus. Our Care Aide's provide personal care services to our residents as directed by the Care Coordinator.


Responsibilities:

  • Provides care and services to residents as defined by individualized care plans. Care and services include, but are not limited to: ADL assistance, mobility assistance, positioning assistance and feeding assistance.
  • Performs random rounds on each resident every two hours, starting upon arrival and finishing just prior to the end of the shift.
  • Takes and records temperature, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
  • Participates in resident activity program.
  • Documents care provided to residents using approved documentation method.
  • Reports any change in resident condition to the charge nurse immediately.


Other Responsibilities:

  • Assists with stocking supplies in clean utility rooms.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions required for the position

Must be able to work independently and efficiently while handling multiple tasks.


Strong organizational skills are required to multi-task effectively and efficiently.


A high level of interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.


Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, sit, bend and lift.


Ability to talk and listen when communicating with residents, family members, and internal and external business contacts.


The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs or balance when assisting others with residents; stoop or crouch to communicate with residents and to place items in or get items from low drawers or shelves; pump a foot pedal to raise or lower a client's bed; and use his/her sense of smell to detect odors within the home and emanating from the resident.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds when moving clients by wheelchair.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as the completion of state mandated annual training requirements. The Orchards offers a comprehensive benefit package, including PTO and 401(k) profit sharing, and a together we inspire attendance incentive.
