Crouse’s Medical Staff Administration team is hiring a Manager of Medical Affairs to oversee the process of appointment and credentialing of medical care providers while adhering to Federal, State and local accrediting and governing agencies.

Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $99,080.00 / annual

Schedules: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Manager of Medical Affairs Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees administrative management of QGenda software, as well as initial appointment, credentialing and reappointment of members of the medical and allied staff.
  • Responsible for oversight of coordinating the activities of the Department of Medical Affairs with respect to clinical departmental functions as outlined in the medical staff bylaws, hospital policies and bylaws, and applicable local, state and federal statutes.
  • Informs the Chief Medical Officer of departmental activities, needs, and problems.  
  • Manages departmental staff, equipment needs, goals, etc. 
  • Prepares the annual operating budget for submission to the Chief Medical Officer. 
  • Maintains records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing job training/followup of all employees.
  • Assist Medical Affairs coordinators who are having difficulty researching specific information through primary source verification. 
  • Maintains daily operation of Medical Affairs assuring timely turn around times from receipt of application to board approval of privileges, monthly queries and annual reappointment process.
  • Works with other departments within the organization as needed to facilitate receipt of application to board approval of privileges, monthly queries and annual reappointment process.

Manager of Medical Affairs Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with physician credentialing work for either insurance or for healthcare provider organizations preferred.
  • Must be proficient in databases and in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Must possess a professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
