Job description

Contingent Neonatologist – Henry Ford Health

Henry Ford Health, one of the nation's largest integrated health systems, is seeking a contingent BE/BC Neonatologist.

Responsibilities include providing neonatal care in Level III NICUs and Level II Special Care Nurseries across multiple Henry Ford acute care hospitals. Duties comprise:

  • Coverage at Level III units in Henry Ford Detroit and Henry Ford Children’s Hospital, including pediatric surgery, iNO therapy, and body cooling.
  • Night and weekend calls from home for designated hospitals.
  • Participation in transport team delivering critically ill newborns between units.
  • Academic engagement through faculty appointments, medical student and resident education, and neonatal nursing program oversight.
  • Clinical follow‑up and discharge support in weekly NICU transition clinics.

Qualifications: Must have completed or be completing an ACGME/AOA approved Neonatology fellowship program. Board Certification in Neonatology required.
