Job description

The Fruit Expert® - Customer Service & Production Associate is responsible for creating the mouthwatering arrangements, dipped fruit™ boxes, and cut fruit for Edible® treat products, following proper operational procedures. He or she also ensures Edible® service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt service, delivering a WOW experience
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Build arrangements according to our brand standards
  • Prepare a variety of arrangements according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures and proper portion sizes
  • Selects fruit for arrangements
  • Wash, peel and/or cut various fruit to prepare for arranging
  • Package arrangements or dipped fruit
  • Receive and store fruit supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators and other storage areas
  • Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning standards and works as a store team player; Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
  • Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly
  • Remove trash and clean kitchen waste containers
  • Assist with receiving deliveries from vendors
  • Follows proper food sanitation and handling procedures
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of product knowledge and quality standards
  • Welcomes and connects with every customer to provide excellent customer service
  • Discovers customer needs and appropriately suggests products with every customer to enhance service and meet sales goals
  • Assists customers in the selection and purchase of Edible® products
  • Uses effective sales approaches and displays strong knowledge of product line; Effectively converts customer inquiries into sales
  • Builds long-term relationships and builds the trust and loyalty of customers
  • Maintains customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner
  • Responds to customer needs; Manages difficult customer situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products
  • Follows cash handling and register policies
  • Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines
  • Takes responsibility to learn all aspects of the position
  • Learns and demonstrates creating the Edible® Experience
  • Learns and demonstrates all performance standards by completing in-store training and utilizing digital training portal on an ongoing basis

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience working in customer Service or food service establishment preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to sell and up-sell products
  • Good math and money handling skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Enjoys working within a team
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Drive and determination
  • Desire for personal and professional growth
  • Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record (if also delivering)
  • Computer skills including Microsoft software and register skills
  • Ability to lift, carry and/or push objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
