Job description

From locally owned dairy farms to the tables of our customers, you can be part of the story behind The Creamery and the cheese loved by families across the United States.
However, our brand isn't just a product on a shelf. As team members we are dedicated to connecting with customers and creating an unforgettable experience at The Creamery.

Are you a creative storyteller with a strategic mindset and a passion for community? The Creamery is looking for a versatile Marketing Specialist to bring our brand to life across digital and physical spaces. This is a dynamic, hybrid role where you'll split your time between strategic remote work and "boots on the ground" content creation at The Creamery. You'll own our social media, elevate our email and SMS marketing, design eye-catching collateral, and find the human-interest stories-from our farmer-owners to our daily guests-that make our brand special. If you are a self-starter who loves variety, creativity, and data-driven growth, we want to hear from you!

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Social Media Management & Content Creation
  • Develop, execute, and evolve a comprehensive social media strategy.
  • Create and manage monthly content calendars across all brand channels
  • Concept, shoot, and edit engaging social content (photos, reels, TikToks, etc).
  • Fully manage and own all social media communities and channels
  • Track performance, report on analytics, and provide strategic recommendations for growth
Graphic Design
  • Manage and execute incoming graphic design requests
  • Design sales collateral, on-site signage, digital ads, event flyers, and other brand assets
Email & SMS Marketing
  • Evolve and elevate our existing email and SMS marketing strategies
  • Create, test, and manage targeted audience segmentations
  • Design, write, and deploy all marketing campaigns
  • Analyze campaign performance, reporting on metrics to optimize future outreach.
Community Building & Storytelling
  • Be the "boots on the ground" storyteller at The Creamery-uncovering and sharing compelling stories about our guests, farmer-owners, team members, and heritage.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, comfortably interacting with the community
Ecommerce & Retail Support
  • Work cross-collaboratively with internal teams to drive and grow our ecommerce business
  • Identify in-store marketing needs and promotional opportunities to support retail business growth
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, business administration, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in marketing, social media management, or a related field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Proficient in graphic design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva.
  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven track record in social media strategy, content creation, and community management.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills with a sharp eye for detail
  • A true "people person" who is genuinely comfortable talking to guests, asking questions, and building relationships.
  • Comfortable appearing in front of the camera on occasion for social content.
  • Creative, strategic thinker who uses data and analytics to inform marketing decisions, and creates beautiful designs that align with the brand.
  • A fast learner who can pick up new tools quickly. Note: Extensive email marketing experience is not required, but you must be eager to learn our email/SMS platform and build out its capabilities.
  • A self-starter who thrives both independently (collaborating virtually with the team) and on-site in a bustling retail environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey marketing messages effectively.
  • Able to adapt and willingness to learn and stay updated with the latest marketing brands.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
