What is the boardroom in a company?

The Boardroom refers to the place where a company's board of directors meets to discuss and make important decisions about the organization's direction, policies, and strategy. It often symbolizes the top level of corporate governance, where major business plans, financial matters, and executive appointments are deliberated. Members of the boardroom typically include executive and non-executive directors who represent the interests of shareholders and ensure the company is well-managed. The boardroom plays a crucial role in shaping the overall vision and success of a business.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a board director, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Board Director, you need deep expertise in corporate governance, strategic planning, and financial oversight, often supported by senior executive experience or relevant board certifications. Familiarity with governance frameworks, risk management systems, and board management software is commonly required. Strong leadership, ethical judgment, and effective communication are vital soft skills that foster consensus and guide organizational direction. These competencies are crucial for ensuring sound decision-making, regulatory compliance, and the long-term success of the organization.

What types of collaborative projects or decisions are commonly handled by board members in the boardroom environment?

In The Boardroom, board members often collaborate on high-level strategic decisions such as approving budgets, setting organizational goals, overseeing executive performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Licensed Barber / Hair Stylist
Full-Time • Frisco, TX • $51,000-$91,000 Avg. Annual Compensation • $1,000 Signing Bonus
Boardroom Salon for Men is where serious barbers and stylists build serious careers. We are opening a brand-new Frisco Three Corners location and are looking for the best in the DFW market to be part of the founding team. Training begins soon out of our Plano Lakeside salon.
WHY BOARDROOM IS DIFFERENT
Since 2004, Boardroom has been the gold standard in upscale men's grooming. This is not walk-in volume work - our model is built around membership, loyalty,
and a client base of professionals who expect precision and consistency every single visit.
That means:
â–¸ Guaranteed hourly pay plus commission, tips, and bonuses
â–¸ A set schedule so you can plan your life outside the shop
â–¸ A team environment where barbers and stylists support and inspire each other to be their best.
â–¸ A beautifully designed workspace that you will be proud to show up to every day
THE COMPENSATION PACKAGE
We believe great barbers deserve great pay. Here is what the full package looks like:
â–¸ $51,000-$91,000 average annualized total compensation (base + tips + commissions + bonuses)
â–¸ $1,000 signing bonus
â–¸ Guaranteed hourly base pay - always a floor, never a ceiling
â–¸ Monthly retention bonuses
â–¸ Retail and membership commissions
â–¸ Paid time off + paid birthday off (full time)
â–¸ Holiday pay (full time)
â–¸ Health, dental, vision, and disability insurance (after 90 days)
â–¸ 401(k) retirement plan
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
â–¸ Delivering precision men's cuts: fades, tapers, bald fades, classic cuts, and modern styles
â–¸ Straight razor shaves, beard detailing, and grooming services (ear, nose, & eyebrow waxing)
â–¸ Building genuine relationships with members who come back to see you specifically
â–¸ Contributing to a shop culture that other barbers and stylists want to be a part of
â–¸ Representing the Boardroom brand with your professional appearance, positive attitude, and craft
WHAT YOU NEED
â–¸ Valid Texas Barber License or Texas Cosmetology License (required)
â–¸ Minimum 1 year of men's cutting experience, with strong fade and taper skills preferred
â–¸ A client-first mindset - you read the room, communicate well, and make every guest feel taken care of
â–¸ Professionalism in your appearance and demeanor, every shift
â–¸ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
â–¸ A team player who makes the shop better just by being in it
THIS ROLE IS A FIT IF YOU ARE...
â–¸ Tired of the booth rent grind with an inconsistent book and zero benefits
â–¸ A skilled barber or stylist who wants guaranteed income without sacrificing earning potential
â–¸ Someone who takes their craft seriously and wants to be surrounded by others who do the same
â–¸ Looking for a long-term home at a brand that invests in its team
Your best work deserves the best stage. Come cut with us.
