Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor

Etz Hayim owns and operates the brands Cycling Frog and Lazarus Naturals, as well as a sprawling operation that spans from farming over 300 acres of hemp, extraction, chemical processing, packaging and warehousing to support both brands and private label customers.Lazarus Naturals was founded in 2016 to provide safe and accessible CBD products for everyone who would benefit from them, regardless of their financial situation and ability to pay, which is why we provide a 60% Assistance Program to veterans and people with disabilities or low-incomes. We want to change the way THC is consumed and viewed by our society by focusing on lower potency, ready to drink beverages that can easily fit into anyone’s lifestyle. Under the Federal Farm Bill it is legal to sell these low potency THC products across all 50 states via the internet, and anywhere you can grab a beer.

This role will be based in Portland.

Reports To: Senior Quality Manager

Summary: The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for managing a small team and executing the master sanitation schedule, as well as ensuring ongoing compliance for 24/7 audit readiness.

Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversees daily task completion of the Sanitation team.

• Maintains sanitary conditions of the facility, production spaces and equipment.

• Leads, coaches and provides effective feedback for the Sanitation team

• Ensure adherence to the Master Sanitation Schedule - items are completed on time and signed off accordingly.

• Manage chemical inventory, place orders as needed and ensure proper handling procedures are followed to protect employee safety

• Manage the schedules of the Sanitation team members to ensure the operational needs, as well as daily and weekly tasks are completed.

• Develop and track KPIs for the sanitation team

• Ensure equipment, tools and general facilities maintain cGMP standards at all times.

• Lead training with the Sanitation team for all workplace and safety topics.

• Perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, cGMPs, SOPs and SSOPs.

• Observe current working procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

• Oversee the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of equipment

• Additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements and Skills

• At least 2 years experience working in sanitation in a food manufacturing facility

• At least 1 years experience in a leadership role managing team members

• Proven ability to write SOPs and SSOPs

• GFSI, SQF, BRC, Organic, Kosher experience

• Able to clearly communicate goals and objectives

• Strong organization skills with a detail-oriented mindset

• Ability to both follow direction and work autonomously

• Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• Ability to operate and troubleshoot Sanitation equipment

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work with Google suite, Microsoft applications and other technical platforms
