Job description

Osha Thai Kitchen and Sushi is a Thai and sushi restaurant in the Downtown Village District of Holly Springs, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Cut and portion ingredients according to recipes
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food on the line; ensure freshness
  • Adhere to all sanitation and kitchen safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, utensils
  • Communicating with food and materials vendors to manage inventory needs

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as sushi chef (3+ years preferred)
  • Skilled in cutting fish, preparing sushi rice, and rolling sushi
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Understanding of proper food handling procedures; ServSafe Certified preferred
  • Ready to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Work in standing position for long periods of time
  • Ability to effectively communicate with kitchen staff
  • Safely lift, bend, carry up to 40 lbs.
