Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Manufacture standard production and customized aircraft furniture.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work from orders and blueprints to build and assemble small aircraft furniture per specifications. May work under guidance of higher grade furniture builder(s).

Operates equipment such as table saw, band saw, platen press, hand and table router and sander with minimal assistance.

Uses small and large power tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, routers, saws, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments.

Use of precision measurement devices.

Operates spray gun for adhesive spray according to company specifications

Applies laminate and veneer to composite and other materials.

Accurately record information required for data collection and material traceability with assistance

Understand and respond to budget hours and schedule requirements with assistance

Responsible only for own work.

Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification, and Textron Aviation's blueprint reading class preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

6 months of related experience in assembly and/or composite.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety

shoes and protective clothing could be required.
