Job description

Why This Internship
As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You'll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways - working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.
JOB SUMMARY:
Intern will support Textron Aviation customers by applying knowledge in the Customer Service Maintenance Engineering department. Intern will use technical principles, theories, and concepts to develop, update, and/or improve inspection-related maintenance plans for all Textron Aviation product lines.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Research, develop, and provide solutions to a complex inspection related maintenance issues

  • Follow established procedures for collecting, organizing, and analyzing product data, researching inspection task findings, technical issues related to inspection programs, component reliability, product enhancements, service documents, etc

  • Position requires frequent internal customer contact

  • Represent Product Support on specific internal and cross-functional projects

  • Analyze special product support problem areas and evaluate various alternatives of meeting these needs

  • Find the best possible solution for product changes, maintenance program modifications or procedural changes using strategy agility

EDUCATION:
  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aircraft Management, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Action oriented and seizes opportunities

  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks
