Job Summary:
Silverthorne Advisory Group is seeking a Mid Machine Learning Engineer to support DoD program offices. The role involves training, testing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine learning model development, model validation and serving.
• Optimize machine learning algorithms.
• Contribute to building an infrastructure that facilitates end-to-end ML workflows.
• Experience with one or more Deep Learning packages including but not limited to TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Explore new technologies like quantum engineering for advanced model development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data processing pipelines.
• Communicate and coordinate with teams to accomplish objectives and deliver excellence.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Top Secret clearance required (can be sponsored).
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• 4+ years with natural language processing (NLP) topics, including tagging, syntactic parsing, word sense disambiguation, topic modeling, contextual text mining, or application of deep learning to NLP.
• Strong background in a modern programming language, such as Python or Java, and associated numerical and analytics packages (NUMPY, PANDAS); git; PYTORCH or TensorFlow; CI/CD pipelines and regression testing.
• Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and collaborate with multiple functional groups.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred:
• Recent DoD or IC-related experience.
• Experience building distributed deep learning libraries or scaling large distributed deep learning workflows using PyTorch (or similar).
• Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
• Experience in large scale AI and ML infrastructure, AWS ML tools such as SageMaker.
• Experience with data discovery techniques and tools such as AWS Glue Crawler, Apache Atlas, Datahub, or Collibra.
• Experience in working in an agile development environment.
