Requirements:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Working in the product team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and services. You will work closely with the development team, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, design test plans, and execute comprehensive testing procedures. Your attention to detail, technical acumen, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our products.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand project requirements and develop test plans and strategies
  • Design and execute test cases, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Identify and report software defects, issues, and inconsistencies in a clear and concise manner using issue tracking tools
  • Participate in the review and validation of user stories and functional specifications
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify potential usability and user experience improvements
  • Develop and maintain test data and test environments as required for testing purposes
  • Define the test strategy for live validations, ensuring a smooth transition to production environments
  • Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of defects and issues
  • Participate in agile development and scrum meetings to provide feedback and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Conduct root cause analysis of complex defects and work with the development team to identify and implement effective solutions
  • Present demos to stakeholders prior to software deployments, effectively communicating the functionality and quality of the software
  • Keep up to date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices
  • Support and assist developers with the auto deployment process and build release activities
  • Maintain QA environments by updating them with each new software build, ensuring correct configurations and functionality
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, proposing mitigation strategies as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, technological advancements, and business trends

  • Experience in designing and executing test cases for various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and context switch between different projects efficiently.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with development teams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working in the Shipping/Logistics domain and exposure to the following programming languages: JavaScript, Python, HTML, C#, SQL, CSS
