Technical Account Manager
Our client is seeking a Technical Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for both technical and commercial engagement within a portfolio of assigned accounts. This role combines technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and relationship management to support product adoption, customer retention, and revenue growth. This role is responsible for providing technical guidance, managing customer relationships, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and supporting account growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in chemistry or a related field, experience in technical sales or product support, and the ability to translate complex technical information into practical solutions.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across manufacturing, distribution, and industrial sectors
  • Provide technical application support, including formulation guidance, compatibility assessments, handling, storage, and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate and conduct testing, trials, and evaluations, interpreting results and recommending next steps
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including documentation and hazard communication
  • Manage and resolve technical and commercial issues in collaboration with internal teams such as sales, operations, quality, and R&D
  • Develop and execute account plans, identifying opportunities for growth through cross‑sell and upsell initiatives
  • Support pricing discussions, contract management, and commercial negotiations
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date technical documentation, reports, and customer records
  • Prepare and deliver account reviews, status updates, and technical presentations
  • Track and manage customer activity, opportunities, and pipeline within CRM systems
  • Contribute to new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives
Your strengths include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, chemical distribution, formulation support, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of product applications, formulation processes, and industrial use cases
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and project‑management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Ability to build strong, long‑term customer relationships
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience working with CRM systems and technical documentation
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, testing, and project support
