Position Summary: Lab Director

We are seeking a skilled Lab Director to lead and manage our laboratory operations. The Lab Director will oversee daily lab activities, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and drive the development of innovative testing procedures. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic planning skills to enhance lab efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage lab staff and operations.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and safety protocols.
  • Oversee test procedures and data accuracy.
  • Develop and implement lab policies and procedures.
  • Manage budgeting and resource allocation.

 

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

  • MLS - Medical Laboratory Scientist ASCP

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in a Medical Laboratory Science. - Required
  • Masters Degree in related field - Required 

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS:

  • Three (3) years clinical laboratory experience and five (5) years management experience in a Healthcare
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Leadership skills needed to effectively direct a group.
  • Written and interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Knowledge of basic techniques in financial analysis.
