Job description

Holland Public Schools is located in Holland, Michigan. The district has four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school and has an enrollment of approximately 3000 students.  We offer a dual language immersion program in Spanish in grades K-8.  Holland Public Schools has a diverse student population with approximately 47% Latinx, 9% Black, 6% Multiracial, 3 % Asian and 35% White and approximately 64% free and reduced lunch.

Hours:                    Tue/Thu/Fri: 7:30-3:00 (7 hours); Wed: 7:30-4:00 (8 hours)
Compensation:      $16.64 - $20.09/ hour (IA - Level 1)

PRIMARY JOB GOAL:  The Testing Center Supervisor will oversee a space for students to complete secure assessments.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.




  1. Provide a safe and secure space for students.
  2. Maintain an organized and inviting space for students to complete assessments.
  3. Follow policies and procedures of Holland High School and Holland Public Schools.
  4. Fulfill attendance requirements (on-time attendance, work full shift, consistent daily attendance).
  5. Communicate with Special Education Teachers and Teacher Consultants to have the most up-to-date IEP information.
  6. Keep accurate data regarding the use of the Testing Center.
  7. Communicate regularly with HHS staff regarding Testing Center policies.
  8. Maintain assessment security.
  9. Create audio recordings of assessments.
  10. Assist with state accommodated testing (e.g. SAT, M-STEP).
  11. Oversee all duties related to being a College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Testing Center.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Completion of two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (equivalent of 60 credit hours), OR
  2. Completion of an Associate Degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, OR
  3. Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through passage of an approved formal state academic assessment in the following areas:
    1. Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics; or
    2. Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate.
      1. Current State Board of Education Approved Assessments:
        1. College Board's SAT Must score at least a 480 on evidence-based reading and writing and a 530 on math
        2. ETS Parapro Assessment A passing score of 460 is required Prior Approved Assessments
        3. Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) Basic Skills Test.
        4. MTTC Professional Readiness Examination.
        5. WorkKeys - Minimum Scores:
          1. Reading for Information 4
          2. Applied Math 4
          3. Writing 3
        6. ACT (taken between 1/1/1989 - 10/1/2017) - Minimum Scores:
          1. Reading 22
          2. Combined English and Writing 22
          3. Math 22
        7. Michigan Merit Examination (MME) (taken between 1/1/2007 and 1/31/2015).  Minimum Scores:
          1. Reading 1108
          2. Writing 1129
          3. Mathematics - 1116
