Job description

ASRC Federal Highland Technology is seeking a Associate Test Engineer to support a government customer located in Arlington, VA.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performing functional, regression, unit and system testing
  • Working with the team to identify test cases and plan the test effort
  • Working with the automation team to support test automation
  • Writing reports documenting the test effort and results
  • Communicating with team members and other contractors to clarify requirements and test findings
  • Attending scrum and other development process meetings, asking questions and providing feedback

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience
  • Ability to understand and interpret requirements and translate them into test cases
  • Experience performing functional, performance or automated testing
  • Understanding of, and familiarity with, software QA practices
  • Experience in SQL with Oracle or SQL Server
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with backend ETL testing
  • Experience with SOA testing
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing
