X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) โ€“ Pediatric Urgent Care

Pediatrics On Demand โ€“ Immediate & Primary Care

Pediatrics On Demand is a high-volume Pediatric Urgent Care and Primary Care clinic serving patients from birth through 21 years of age. We are open 365 days a year from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., providing efficient, compassionate care to families in the Oak Lawn community.

We are seeking an experienced ARRT-certified X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist who is comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care environment and enjoys working with pediatric patients.


Position Overview

This position is a hybrid Radiologic Technologist and Clinical Support role in a pediatric urgent care setting.

In addition to performing diagnostic radiography, the X-Ray Technician will assist with patient triage, vital signs, EKGs, and rapid testing to support clinic workflow.

This role is ideal for a Radiologic Technologist who enjoys variety, teamwork, and a high-energy outpatient setting.


Responsibilities
  • Perform pediatric diagnostic X-rays in accordance with ARRT and IEMA standards

  • Prepare and position pediatric patients for radiologic procedures

  • Ensure radiation safety for patients, parents, and staff

  • Select and adjust technical imaging factors

  • Review radiographic images for clarity and quality

  • Maintain compliance with Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) regulations

  • Conduct quality control checks on radiology equipment

  • Maintain infection control standards

  • Triage patients, obtain medical histories, and record vital signs

  • Perform EKGs, Rapid Strep Tests, Rapid Flu Tests, and other point-of-care testing

  • Assist with clinical workflow and patient communication

  • Maintain and clean radiographic equipment


Requirements
  • Associateโ€™s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field

  • ARRT (R.T.(R)) Registered or Registry Eligible

  • Active IEMA License (Illinois)

  • Current CPR Certification

  • 1โ€“3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist

  • Pediatric or urgent care experience preferred


Schedule Requirements
  • Full-time position

  • Must be available for rotating shifts

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required (clinic open 365 days/year)
