Job description

Entarian is looking for a Field Support Technician. The selected candidate will perform tactical radio field support and be independently responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C5ISR equipment. The selected candidate will provide local unit support and be onsite in Augusta, GA when not on TDY. Provide network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support to PM Tactical Radios.  Responsible for independently designing, modifying, and installing portions of the network infrastructure. Assures non-functioning network components are repaired/replaced in a timely manner.

  • Perform fielding, installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, over the shoulder training, exercise and test support and maintenance.
  • Hands-on or educational experience in one or more of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms.
  • Assists in conducting tests and evaluations of electronic instrumentation by laboratory and field tests for use in solving existing problems.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree. Four (4) years of additional direct relevant technical experience can be substituted/utilized for education.
  • Must be a US Citizen and be capable of maintaining DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must have 5 years of relevant experience and understanding in field support of tactical radios.
  • Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.

  • Required to Deploy to austere locations and climb in and around military vehicles of all types.

  • Prior military experience.
