Job description

About The Role

The Production Test Engineer supports production tests, failure analysis, and repair activities to achieve quality targets and on‑time delivery of systems according to the overall production schedule. They provide first‑level support to the production team and act as liaisons with the Engineering and Mfg Test Development teams. They collect and analyze test data and provide solutions to increase test process yields and efficiency. They work closely with the cross‑functional production and management teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

    • Influence Mfg Test development
      • Test Execution

  • Mfg Test Validation
    • Lead regression testing of all Mfg Test releases
    • Provide timely feedback to Diagnostic team
      • Report Test Bugs
      • Identify Test Improvements
  • NPI Products
    • Owner of all Mfg Test processes before Mass Production
    • Ensure on‑time shipment of all NPI programs
    • Track the progress of NPI HW through the Mfg Test process
    • Create a failure summary report
      • Identify HW failures vs Test Process‑induced failures (false fails)
      • Work with System Engineering and Diagnostic team to close all open test issues
  • Test Process Oversight & Improvement
    • Provide daily Production Test status reports
      • Yield %

    • Analyze test process cycle times and touches; propose solutions; drive to closure
  • Technical Support
    • Review test logs to understand the root cause of failures

    • Train Production Test and Repair technicians
    • Become SME for execution of all Mfg Tests
  • Continuous Improvement / 5S Support
    • Work with an extended team to identify and execute process improvement actions:
      • Peer technicians/engineers
      • Leads / Supervisors / Managers / Engineering

What You bring

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 8+ years of related manufacturing test experience
  • Previous Server Setup \ Debug \ Repair Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Programming experience in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with Networking and Intel Server Architecture. Data Center Experience is a plus
  • Ability to summarize large amounts of test data to identify trends \ improvement opportunities
