What you'll do

We are thrilled to announce an opening for an Operations Program Manager to join our dynamic VGOV Aviation team in Duluth, GA! 

The Operations Program Manager (OPM) leads multi-functional production and aftermarket program teams and acts as the single point of accountability. They are a critical bridge between engineering, operations, and the business area to ensure the seamless transition of innovative products from concept through launch and sustainment. They focus on delivering world-class, high-visibility products on time, at scale, and of the highest quality. This role is a unique and rewarding position, combining aspects of production manufacturing, product engineering, depot repair, material control, and program management. Qualified candidates who are results driven, problem solvers, good communicators, and work well in a team-oriented environment should apply.


The day-to-day

You will apply your excellent leadership skills and your operations, engineering, and supply chain knowledge. You will ensure the cross-functional team meets business objectives and improves processes continuously.   Your core responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Cross functional leadership: Provides day-to-day direction to a multi-functional team including representatives from manufacturing, test engineering, sourcing, production planning, and quality assurance.  
  • On Time Delivery: Ensure we are building/delivering and repairing/returning to our contractual commitments on our customer’s behalf.
  • Budget Execution: Responsible for defined budgets that must be well controlled to ensure program profitability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities to apply lean methodologies to our production manufacturing and repair stations aimed at improving throughput, cost, and quality that are inclusive of up and downstream operations.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Responsible for overseeing the entire PLM including production readiness, production execution, product updates & engineering change orders, obsolescence management, and aftermarket sustainment.
  • Leads and directs regular core team meetings while attending and reporting at executive program business reviews. Translates product line forecasts into an operational build plan. Manages schedule and product updates or adjustments. Plans labor forecasting and manufacturing capacity. Completes essential performance metrics. 

What you'll need
  • 4+ years of experience in roles such as program management, operations management, or engineering (a mix of these in a hardware focused environment is highly preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain & Operations, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar); advanced Excel skills for data analysis; ability to influence multi-functional teams via outstanding communications skills.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to work onsite in our Duluth, GA office 3 days a week minimum

What will help you on the job
  • Familiarity with aerospace products or RF components is a significant plus. Ability to partner with engineering to influence product design, focusing on manufacturability, testability, cost, and scalability.
  • You don’t need a roadmap; you build one. You are comfortable making decisions, taking ownership, and driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
  • Data-Driven Approach: You enjoy digging into data to find patterns and continuous improvement opportunities.  
  • Financial Literacy: You are experienced with managing budgets and are aware of operational levers and methods that ensure financial success.
  • Risk Management: Experience with identifying risks and generating recovery plans.
  • Complete Under Pressure: Proven ability to work under pressure, navigate ambiguity, and consistently deliver results in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Certifications: PMP, CSCP, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)

Salary range
$120,500.00 - $190,000.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $149,500.00- $224,500.00/ annually
