We are currently seeking an experienced HSPT Test Prep Tutor for a part-time online tutoring opportunity with an 8th-grade student preparing to take the HSPT in December.
The student is academically strong but would benefit from targeted preparation to strengthen performance across the HSPT, improve pacing and test-taking strategies, identify and address gaps from practice testing, and build confidence and familiarity with the exam.
Current Student Schedule:
  • Online tutoring
  • 2 sessions per week
  • Saturday at 11:00 AM ET
  • Sunday at 11:00 AM ET
  • Preparation continuing through the December HSPT

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Previous HSPT tutoring, teaching, or test-preparation experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to support multiple sections of the HSPT, including both quantitative and verbal/reading content
  • Recent or current tutoring/teaching experience
  • Strong understanding of test-taking strategies, pacing, and skills-based remediation
  • Passion for teaching and helping students build confidence
  • Clear communication skills
  • Computer literate and comfortable tutoring online
  • Willingness to commit through the student's December test date
  • Must be able to pass a background check
