Job description

The Crowne Plaza Milwaukee Airport is looking to add a full-time 1st shift dishwasher for the hotel restaurant Altitude. The dishwasher is responsible for making sure that guest health is protected by always using the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant. Although the Dishwasher rarely serves guests directly, the work done by the Dishwasher is critical to every guest and the people who directly serve the guests.
This position is full-time and requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and possibly holidays. The hours are generally 7 am - 3:30 pm. Pay is $10.00 per hour.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provides guest service by assuring that all tableware, glassware, chinaware, and cooking utensils are sanitary and clean
  • Responsible for making sure that guest health is protected by always using the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant/kitchen
  • Must be able to maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep restaurant operating to standard
  • Carefully monitors the operation of the restaurant and assists the manager in identifying and solving present and potential guest problems
  • Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security to ensure the safety of all employees and guests
  • Maintains a clean and organized work-space
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and a background check
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach and lift overhead up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures
  • Ability to work in an environment where smoke, fumes, steam, and other airborne particles could be present
  • Ability to work around, handle, operate, and control hot equipment and products in a safe manner
  • Ability to work at a pace consistent with changing business volume and demands
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand and carry out oral and written instructions and requests
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
