Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer Senior to join Facility Equipment Maintenance (FEM). FEM is a DOW (Joint) system (Navy led). The Air Force portion of FEM supports Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE), Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), Tool Management and Owner Maintenance which is used to track production support equipment for the ALC production shops. This position supports AFLCMC/GBM. As an Systems Engineer Senior your duties will include the following, but are not limited: โ€ข Identify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies, best practices, IT-related performance measures and quality management in support of acquisition planning, information assurance/cybersecurity, test and evaluation processes, verification and validation processes, and/or, fielding and sustaining of IT/software systems. โ€ข Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications. โ€ข Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications. โ€ข Prepare technical documentation which defines, specifies, and recommends system/subsystem characteristics. โ€ข Prepare management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering principles. โ€ข Perform validation of software systems including development of analyses/evaluation criteria and procedures, analyses/evaluation of results, and related recommendations. โ€ข Provide Agile and Digital system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives including, but not limited to, acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight. โ€ข Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes. โ€ข Perform all (system) engineering according to applicable DoW, AF, AFMC directives, instructions, and manuals, to include, but not be limited to, AFI 63-101, AFMAN 63-144, AFMCI 63-1202, AFMAN 63-128, AFI 99-103 - and their updates, successors (as happens over time). Required Qualifications: * US Citizenship.
* Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoW.
* OR, bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoW.
* OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, eight of which must be in the DoW.
* 8140 Certification; CompTIA Security+ CE preferred.
