Astroscale U.S. Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join the team in our Denver, Colorado office. As part of the Software Test team you will design and develop test routines and infrastructure to exercise and validate software and hardware components for our satellite mission programs.

Job Description
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for our software and hardware systems 
  • Work alongside leadership to manage the test plan and implementation of the test framework 
  • Lead test campaigns spanning spacecraft flight and ground systems 
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure that software meets quality standards 
  • Create and execute system level verification, validation, integration, and test plans 
  • Drive the improvement of software testing tools and processes 
  • Rapidly prototype software to prove out design concepts and participate in development of hardware-in-the-loop systems 
  • Collaborate with internal partner organizations and third-party organizations. 
  • Assess software and system issues to find solutions, including across software-hardware interfaces 
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years of professional software test development 
  • Professional experience developing Python 
  • Experience developing C and/or C++ 
  • Experience with Git, Docker, cloud services, modern CI/CD practices and software/hardware integration 
  • Familiarity with bash and Linux
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Bachelor's degree, master's degree or PhD in computer science, computer engineering or related field
  • Passion for building next-generation space-sustainability technology

Salary range: $130,000 - $155,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of the Astroscale U.S. Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, knowledge, and ability as applicable to the role.
