We are seeking an experienced Structural Repair Technician to join our Body Repair team. This position will support high quality structural and collision repairs while ensuring vehicles are repaired in accordance with Lucid repair procedures, engineering specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience with modern vehicle construction and is highly skilled in the repair and replacement of Aluminum, steel, and mixed material vehicle structures.
The Structural Repair Technician will be responsible for evaluating, measuring, repairing, and replacing structural components while maintaining the original structural integrity and dimensional accuracy of Lucid vehicles.
This individual will work closely with Body Repair Paint, Mechanical, and other supporting teams to ensure repairs meet Lucid's standards for safety, quality, fit and finish.
Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Body Repair Paint Shop Manager.
  • Perform advanced structural repairs on Lucid vehicles following approved Lucid repair procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Diagnose structural damage and determine appropriate repair and replacement requirements.
  • Restore corrosion protection, seam sealers, adhesives, and other materials required following structural repairs.
  • Maintain structural repair equipment, welding equipment, measuring systems, and tools in proper working conditions.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Participates in required ongoing training.
  • Follow all applicable procedures when working on or around electric and high voltage vehicles.
  • Perform structural measurements before, during, and after repairs to verify vehicle dimensions and alignment.
  • Set up and operate structural repair benches, fixtures, and electronic measuring equipment.
  • Perform OEM approved joining techniques including Mig/Mag welding, aluminum welding, rivet boding, adhesive bonding, and mechanical fastening.
  • Remove and replace welded, bonded, riveted, and mechanically attached components.
  • Diagnose structural damage and determine appropriate repair and replacement requirements.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workloads, and meet project deadlines.
  • Comply with all Lucid safety rules, guidelines and standards.
  • Experience with Body Fillers.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • 5 years minimum hands-on technician experience in the collision industry, OEM Structural Repair Certifications from instructor led training from Tesla, Jaguar. BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, etc. would be advantageous.
  • Ability to perform structural repairs utilizing various repair bench systems (Car-Bench is Primary, Celette, Car-O-Liner, Spanesi, and Global-Jig, as well as any other appropriate shop equipment.
  • Strong background in advanced structural collision repair.
  • Aluminum MIG Welding / MIG Brazing experience.
  • Aluminum Adhesive bonding experience.
  • Ability to interpret and follow OEM repair procedures, structural measurements, technical documentation, and work instructions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with modern vehicle joining methods including welding, rivet bonding, and mechanical fastening.
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Diagnostic software experience
  • Ability to work overtime if needed.

Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Base Pay Range (hourly)
$34-$47 USD
Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
