Software Development & AI Systems Manager Job Title: Software Development & AI Systems Manager Manager Job Location: Indianapolis, IN Job Site: On-Site Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: About the Job:

We are seeking a Software Development & AI Systems Manager to lead the development and implementation of our internal platform.

This role will work directly with leadership to turn ideas into production systems while managing developers, engineers, and external resources. The ideal candidate is both a strong technical builder and an effective team leader.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead development of internal software systems and platform architecture
  • Manage and coordinate internal engineers, developers, and external resources
  • Translate business and engineering workflows into structured software systems
  • Design and enforce system architecture, data models, and development standards
  • Build and oversee APIs, integrations, and data pipelines
  • Review, refine, and approve work prior to deployment
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Drive projects from concept through production and iteration
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience building software systems
  • Strong backend development and system architecture experience
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience integrating APIs and multiple systems
  • Experience managing technical projects or teams
  • Ability to take ownership and execute independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AI tools or frameworks (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.)
  • Experience modernizing or replacing legacy systems
  • Experience with data pipelines or automation workflows
  • Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience in engineering, construction, or technical industries
