Job description

What to Expect Tesla is seeking a dependable and safety-driven onstruction Material Handler to support the build-out of next-generation manufacturing and energy infrastructure. This role is critical to the success of large-scale construction projects, ensuring that building materials-including structural steel, concrete, insulation, electrical conduit, mechanical components, and pre-fabricated systems-are delivered, stored, and staged efficiently and safely on-site.
What You'll Do
  • Load, unload, and transport raw materials, supplies, and finished products using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment
  • Accurately pull and stage inventory for production, assembly, or shipping, ensuring the right materials are delivered to the right place, on time
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage, discrepancies, or delays; report issues and ensure proper storage and labeling
  • Maintain real-time inventory accuracy by updating records, performing cycle counts, and tracking material locations in ERP/WMS systems
  • Prepare materials for shipment by packing, wrapping, securing, and labeling goods according to shipping standards and safety protocols
  • Keep all work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards, including housekeeping, hazard identification, and PPE enforcement
  • Operate, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on material-handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient daily operations

What You'll Bring
  • Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics preferred
  • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain through on-the-job training)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures and environments
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety and quality
  • Basic computer literacy for using inventory systems, WMS, or ERP platforms
  • Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, and communication in fast-paced, high-volume settings
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations, PPE requirements, and proper material handling techniques
