Job description

Lake Washington School District is looking for qualified Special Education Teacher candidates for a position in a Resource Room setting at Tesla STEM High School for the 2026-27 school year. This is a 0.6 FTE continuing position during Periods 3-6.

The resource room program provides academic and behavioral supports to students who spend the majority of their time within general education. Teachers may provide pull-out services, push-in supports or co-teach with general education teachers.

Tesla STEM High School is a small, tight-knit community with a culture of academic excellence. Curiosity, resilience, and perseverance are developed as scholars embrace constructive struggle, push each other to innovate, and address the world's most compelling and crucial problems.
Qualifications:
Washington State teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.
Salary: Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
