The current opportunity would work out of our Kentwood, MI location.

The Opportunity:

This position is for a Quality Administrator. In this role, you will report to the Quality Manager. The duties of this role is to ensure that our company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures and implementing quality control systems.

BACKGROUND PREFERED:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Automotive experience with General Motors, Stellantis, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and Tesla.
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Control Plan, Process Flow, FMEA
  • Quality System Experience (ie. ISO 9001, ISO14001, IATF 16949)
  • Quality System Auditing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee Quality activities for all programs per customer requirements. Including some level of travel to customer plants for support as needed.
  • Testing and inspection of materials, products, and processes to identify nonconformances and ensure they are meeting technical specifications.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation, including reports on quality metrics, inspection results, and compliance with standards.
  • Develop Inspection Standards that meet customer requirements.
  • Lead problem solving activities that identify issues in our processes, analyze root causes, and recommend solutions to improve product quality and performance.
  • Review and approved Supplier PPAP submissions.
  • Communicate and update systems for Customer specific requirements.
  • Participate in external Quality Management Systems audits and subsequent surveillance audits.
  • Collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and management to understand product changes and quality assurance testing requirements, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.

  • Basic understanding of GD&T
  • Technical knowledge with quality control standards, AIAG Core Tools, Ford AIAG/VDA FMEA, IATF 16949, ISO 9001.Tesing methodologies, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analysis and critical problem-solving abilities and diligence to identify and address quality issues effectively.
  • Effective communication skills using both verbal and written skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and document findings clearly and effectively.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in group sessions.
  • Must be a change agent- flexibility, diversified knowledge, adaptability, prioritization, effective communication.

Monday-Friday (7am-3pm)
40 hours per week, overtime as needed.
